As you probably already know, I am a Dallas native. I love to eat out, and being part of a big family, eating out is always the best option for us. I have so many favorite restaurants that not everyone knows about and I am so excited to share them with you all today.
Honor Bar— located in Highland Park Village (a staple!) with amazing salads, deviled eggs, bread pudding, and fantastic lemon meringue pie. Sitting on the patio is always so relaxing, it has a great atmosphere.
R+D Kitchen – their veggie sushi roll and chicken sandwich are must-haves
Vidorra – the best birria tacos and fish bowls 😉
Dolce Riviera— located near downtown and has the tastiest Italian food you will ever have in your life!! The atmosphere is so chill and fresh. If you want a modern Italian restaurant with some delicious food, then this is your place!
Origin Kitchen and Bar— located in the Knox-Henderson area is my absolute favorite restaurant. This healthy American-type restaurant has the best brussel sprout salad, chicken nachos, avocado oil fries, and chocolate chia seed mousse. If you are lactose intolerant, gluten-free, paleo, etc. this place is perfect!
Little Katana— located in the Knox-Henderson area near Origin Kitchen and Bar is the best Japanese place in Dallas (in my opinion!) This restaurant is known for their wagyu beef hot rock appetizer, rice hot stone bowl with spicy sriracha, and mochi.
Javier’s— located in the Knox-Henderson area is one of the classic restaurants of Dallas. This is my all time fave Mexican restaurant. Some of my favorite dishes are the warm butter salsa and chips appetizer, the smoked chicken, and flan.
Town Hearth— located in the Design District and has the best atmosphere with a truck submarine in the middle of the restaurant for all to see and has the best mac n’ cheese, filet mignon, and rocky-road ice cream cake.
Il Bracco— located in University Park in Preston Center is this amazing casual Italian restaurant. I love their pesto crusted salmon, homemade focaccia bread, spicy gemelli pasta, and pana cotta. This restaurant has an open, airy, and coastal atmosphere.
Taverna– best GF options and truffle pizzaaaa
Doce Mesas– such a fun dinner spot with friends and the best salad
Sixty Vines– best food and atmosphere, great brunch spot
Chop Shop– great study spot to grab a quick bite
Bellagreen – best gluten free options and chicken parmesan
Greenville Avenue Pizza Company— located on Greenville Avenue is the BEST pizza place hands down!! I love their garlic knots, homemade ranch, and basil pesto cheese pizza. This is the best place for a chill Saturday night at home.
Le Bilboquet– my all time favorite restaurant, loveee the cajun chicken
Simply Fondue– such a fun thing to do for dinner on a date with great food, more expensive than the Melting Pot
SusieCakes– love their confetti cake, cupcakes, and lemon bars
Joy Macarons— located near Greenville Avenue is the best macarons place ever!! They are even better than the famous Ladurée macarons. These macarons are so creamy and delicious, I always get a fruity pebble macaron sandwich or the almond macarons.
Chocolate Secrets— located on Oak Lawn is this amazing chocolate truffle and ice cream shop with live jazz music on certain nights. I always get the hot chocolate, hazelnut truffles, and turtles!
